How is this for Customer Service?

Okay, so my last post touched on the fact that Superman needed to call Comcast to resolve an issue related to our switch over to their high speed internet (which I love...it is so amazing!). I really wasn't complaining about Comcast. I've really been pleased with our dealings with them and Superman had no difficulty resolving the issue with their customer service rep, but if he hadn't, I think he'd be pleased to know just how responsive Comcast really was. I received this comment to my blog post:

ComcastCares1 has left a new comment on your post "Daddy's Girl, but Mommy's Helper...":

I hope he got it all straightened up. Let me know if you need further assistance.

How cool is that? (...and my dad says customer service doesn't exist anymore!) Comcast, you totally impressed me! Thanks so much for caring.

I am definately impressed! I, too have comcast. It was a rocky road in the beginning, but all the internet services were new a couple of years or so ago in our area. We now have great service.

Alicia, I have no idea...

Andrea, glad to hear you are happy with the internet, too.

I've heard more and more stories like this lately. I have a friend who complained about her CVS brand deodorant on her little blog and a CVS rep left her a comment. I wrote about Children International and a rep from them left me a comment. It is a whole new world for customer service! On the flip side I saw a comment on one blog from someone who said he worked for comcast but said to contact him at (his email address) and instructed her to send some personal info in the email so I'm leaning toward thinking that one was a scam artist. I say, always contact the company yourself and not these people leaving comments, just to be sure.
