Yeah, I knew you would!
Do you get those little tiny fruit flies? I get them when we have bananas or apples (not so much with citrus fruit). They are disgusting...seriously disgusting. I read about an ingenious (but a bit bizarre) method to get rid of them on Tangled Zen (one of my new favorites). In desperation, but without a lot of confidence, I gave her solution a try.
Placed it right by the bananas and apples and waited. Imagine my surprise when it worked!
A cup with apple cider vinegar, plastic wrap, and a pipe cleaner. (Tangled Zen added dish soap, but I didn't realize that and so I failed to include it...still works.) Two tiny punctures in the plastic wrap lets the tiny flies in and, for some reason, they can't get out again.
There you have it. Gross, but effective.
(What can I say? I was desperate.)

It's gross but works. My kids love to look at all the flies "swimming."
Amazing. I just had a few fruit flies around the bananas yesterday. I will have to try it.
LOL - ok, maybe a bit bizarre but totally effective. Works every time!! Thanks for the shout out :)
Wow, I'll have to try that sometime!
Okay, I had to come back and look at this again. Gross. Yes, very gross, but it looks like you have figured out a way of taking out your number 1 enemy!
