Food for Thought

"Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction."
-Saint-Exupery

...and something I heard on Dave Ramsey Thursday night:

"Roses are red
Lobster is nice.
My envelope's empty
Do you like beans and rice?"

Beans and rice....I love it! I am assuming this is after you have spent a gazillion dollars on chocolates and flowers.....

So many of your blog posts I have wanted to comment on over the last few weeks, and here is the one I finally take the time to actually DO! Love Dave's little diddy; I also think lobster is nice and we are living on a tight budget. So here's mine:

I love a tasty lobster
But I can't afford this venue
With Louis Kemp Lobster Delights
I can put it on the menu!

I wait for it to go on sale
Which happens once in a while
Then I combine it with a coupon (doubled!)
I grab from my coupon file

So I can have the taste of lobster
On a budget I didn't have to bend
I know it isn't quite the real thing
But I can close my eyes and pretend!

"Life has taught us that...." This is one of my favorite quotations and I totally believe it is true! As wedding photographers, we have lots of opportunities to see how true it is - looking outward together is key.

Cute poem and love the sentiment. My hubby loves beans and rice but I don't, well...not red beans and rice. However, we all love lentils and rice and it's budget friendly!
