I've shown you dog beds and cats bed over the past few years, but I haven't often shown you how they often end up being used...

Cajun has taken over the dog bed that Lucy normally sleeps on.   Watch the "conversation" they had at that point.


Cajun is sleeping peacefully on Lucy's bed.

She notices someone approaching..."Oh, great, here comes
that whiner, Lucy, again."

"Oh, hey, Cajun.  Can I have a turn on my bed now?"  "No"

"Oh, okay, Cajun, never mind.  I'll just sleep under Mom & Dad's bed."

 Yes, people, that is how things go in our house.  The cats and the dogs share so well, don't they?

For no other reason...

...than it is just so cute.


I guess blogging can take a lot out of a person...er...kitten.

Babysitting - Nagle Style

Babysitting: At our house, we do it a little differently.

Cajun is babysitting Biscuit (who doesn't think she needs a babysitter).

Ninja and Cajun babysitting Biscuit (who really doesn't think she needs TWO babysitters).

Lucy is babysitting Cajun (who doesn't think she needs a babysitter).

Keep in mind I was obviously "babysitting" everyone, or I wouldn't have been able to snap these photos. Babysitting Nagle-style...baby animals count.

"Cajun-Style" Bird Watching

One of our new kittens, Cajun, is absolutely fascinated by the birds. I often find her watching them. Interestingly, it is clear that the birds are looking at Cajun, too. I confess to wishing I could "hear" their thoughts. Until then, my imagination will have to suffice.

She's just sure fun is to be had, if she can just get into the cage. So far, the birds have declined to invite her. She hasn't given up...

P.S. For those of you with keen eyes who noticed the mousetraps surrounding the birdcage, those were for Sam-I-Am (who has been feeling froggy of late) and are NOT set. They would definitely damage little Cajun.
