Ugh...it didn't turn out well...

I just made the most disgusting chili. The kids were kind, but it turned out terribly. It turned out spicy, sweet...like spicy spaghetti sauce. (Buttercup even suggested I not start with spaghetti sauce next time. Excuse me? I didn't start with spaghetti sauce!) I followed the recipe exactly. Blech! Superman ate it cheerfully (he even had seconds!), but let us not forget he was in the Army. Back to the drawing board.
