Superman changed the oil in my car the day before he left. That was great. Unfortunately, the day after he left, my car started leaking oil. Let's be clear here: I know very little about cars. I've always counted on the men in my life to handle my auto repair issues. Valiant, however, is too young to take over for his dad in his absence. So, I did whatever any modern woman would do:
I got on Skype with my husband...showed him a picture of the oil spot...by walking outside with the computer, tipping it down so the camera hit the garage floor and said, "See?"
Then I slid the laptop under the car...Virtual Husband, if you please.
Then I sent my son under the car for hands-on learning to troubleshoot the problem.
Ah, you've got to love technology! Hey, don't laugh! What would you have done?
I am impressed! You may be the most creative woman out there!

Walmart. They always change our oil.
ReplyDeleteha ha that is good!!!
ReplyDeleteDid Valiant get it? Was he able to fix the problem? How cool!!!! I'm so proud of my super cool nephew. You know this long distance thing might have its perks ... like you never have to deal with his stinky socks but you still get to have him help fix your car. Plus isn't it a right of passage to work on a car with your father? So cool!
ReplyDeletewow that's really cool! I would have never thought to do that in a million years. very smart lady! very impressive!
ReplyDeleteThat is GENIUS!
ReplyDeleteVery smart of you, Erin! so clever!
ReplyDeleteLOL! What would I have done? Jiffy Lube. Nobody in this house knows anything about cars :)
ReplyDeleteVery creative -- I probably would have done the same thing... my hubby is the handy (I mean handy) one - if he doesn't know how to fix it he will before long... Did you get it fixed?
ReplyDeleteEven thousands of miles apart we are a great team!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteDid it work? Was he able to fix it?
