Today is Friday Photo Flashback and I'm only back in town for a few hours, but I didn't want to miss out. This week's photo is actually a scan of a note that Buttercup wrote for me in kindergarten. She was roughly five and a half. As you can see, she wrote phonetically (I blurred the boys' names to protect their anonymity.)
"Dear Mom and Dad, I did not have a good day because Valiant and Charming, they did not play with me."
Just reading it again cracked me up.
To see more of the thing people dug up, head over to Alicia's at More Than Words and join the Friday Photo Flashback party.

That is soooo sweet! I love looking back at things my kids did in school! That's is absolutely priceless!
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo cute! I have saved all the notes and letters that the kids have written like that...I can't wait till they can realize the cuteness they hold when they get older. My mom saved all my little letters and I have them now...it's fun to look back and laugh at our innocence! Smiles! :0)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a treasure. I have saved notes of sort...but this is so cute. You always have a such great contributions. Have a great day Erin!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute note! That is truly a priceless memory.
ReplyDeletewhat a great post.. a true treasure.. it reminds me of all the notes that my daughter has made for me! i will post about them soon on my site too..
ReplyDeletehappy weekend!
How cute, aren't you glad you saved it? I have a few I saved and I'm so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteWe have the Bo bear family here. #2 drew it for her father and he recently found it in his desk. It is so precious. There's Ba (#1's bear) and Bo (her bear) and another bear that is probably her soon to be baby sister's bear in the picture. It's adorable. She had to be about 5 because her sister is 5 years younger. I miss that age the most.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious note to save! Now that it is on your blog...it really is safe(can't get torn, lost or thrown away. Great memory.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet note. My children wrote me different things like that over the years and I cherish them.
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you still have it. My mom saved a lot of that stuff from my younger years and I loved seeing it. Sometimes I even remembered writing/drawing it.
ReplyDeleteT_T *sniffle* poor Buttercup!! *guilt*
ReplyDeleteOMG! I had completely forgotten about this! It made me smile to see it again. She is such a funny bird.
