Friday Photo Flashback

It is that time again, Friday Photo Flashback. Alicia at More Than Words reminds us to dig out our pre-digital photos and share them with the world.

Now that my scanner is hooked up again I can play this game, too. I dug through and found pictures from SeaWorld in San Diego. These were taken in spring of 1997. Superman had recently turned 30 and Valiant was just 1. He wanted to walk by himself!

He's was so taken with the Orcas. He couldn't get enough.

Look at how seriously he's focused. My little fuzzy melon!

The funny thing? He remembered that trip. Years later he threw a temper tantrum because he wanted to go to the "park with the fishes" and we had no idea what he was talking about. None of our local parks seemed to fit the bill and he was very frustrated with us. We headed back to Sea World when Buttercup was a few months old and he was roughly 3 1/2 and he said, "See?! I love the park with the fishes!" Mystery solved.

For more Friday Photo Flashback's, head over to Alicia's at More Than Words and join the party.

Wow what a smart kid, and I just love the picture of him (and his Daddy) concentrating so hard at the show. Of course he wanted to walk on his own, he's stubborn like all of us!

I remember this trip fondly. I wasn't sure if he was going to remember it or not at the time. He obviously did. I believe that it was on this trip that they had the baby California Grey Whale in a holding tank. They had found her abandoned and were trying to nurse her back to health.

Oh, isn't he darling! All that baby independence all wrapped up in such a little thing, and now he's so much bigger. Why do they have to grow so fast?
