It really was hot this past weekend...

How hot? Hot enough that we baked cookies on the dashboard of Charming's car! (Weird, I know!)

Have you ever tried to do this? Apparently you can do it regularly in Phoenix, but it is not normally possible here in Eastern Washington.

WOW...interesting! Certainly a way to save on the electric bill and keep the kitchen cooler all at the same time.

It's been unseasonably cool here. We've done that (not the car,but a sidewalk) before in July and August, but this year has been cool. But now the seasonally regular weather is coming back, just in time for school buses to start rolling. Can you say 95 outside 114 inside?

Okay, I have to admit it was quite amusing to watch Buttercup running back and forth to the car to see if they were done yet. I bet that if we had used the reflective sun shade that they would have been more crispy.

They would have been better if they hadn't been made from frozen dough balls...I think it took too long to "thaw" the dough.

The question is: were they good? That's what's important, no matter how you bake them. Very ingenious of you, though!
