Friday Photo Flashback

Happy Friday, everyone! It has been a terrific week of not much in particular at the Nagle5 household and I can't believe it is already Friday again. It is time to share pre-digital photos with you via Alicia's Friday Photo Flashback. Don't forget to head over to Alicia's to see what others dug out this week...it is always fun.

Since Charming has been on my mind so much this summer, probably because he's turning into a man before my very eyes this year. So, yet again, I'm sharing a picture of him as a baby. This one was taken with a Polaroid and I think he was barely 6 months old. As you can see, he was in a hurry, even way back then! (He ended up walking on his own before he was 9 months old.) Hard to believe that little boy ended up being taller than his dad a short 18 years later...it is humbling really, how briefly they're ours to cuddle.

Other things worth noting: the acid-washed denim shorts and the fact that I was wearing shoulder pads with a t-shirt. Okay, then!

Thanks for joining me on yet another trip down Memory Lane!

What a strong lil' guy!! He's standing pretty good at 6 months!!!

And, oh my gosh, I totally had the acid wash clothes, and the padded shoulders!!

I guess that looking back never goes away does it? My daughter is just 16 months old, and yet this photo of Charming has me already thinking nostalgically (is that a word?) about Raya at 6 months. Photos are so precious. How would we remember so clearly without them?

That is such a lovely moment of you and your baby. I remember the shoulder pads and the faded jeans! Gosh! did I really belong to that era?! :-)

I played FPF for the first time today.

T-shirts with shoulder pads are back for fall. I'm not kidding. :D

Hey, Erin! My mom has been trying to find her great? grandfather, Shadrack Cheek, for years. She's been doing geneaology for over 15 years now. She would have loved to meet Nancy (your new friend). We have a great geneaology section here at the Central Library if and when you ever get to come back for a visit.
PS - I STILL have acid-washed shorts in my drawers...LOL LOL LOL!

Hi Erin - Ummmm, shoulder pads and T-shirts back in the day??? I think we're soulmates! ha ha I did the same thing. And the acid-washed/stone-washed shorts - heck yeah, baby! What a great memory with your little boy - I just love it!

I'm diggin on the stripedy coveralls my stylin nephew is wearing. I really like you with dark hair... maybe its just a sister thing, because then we have similar hair. This isn't to say that I don't completely love your blond hair, cuz I do. You rock no matter the color of your hair. Smooches!

I too wore that type of outfit...I was a teenagaer for that fad!!! My mom was the queen of the shoulderpad...and I am sure she will be again if they should come back to style!!!

You almost made me cry. My oldest daughter is already 16. I agree with you: "how briefly they're ours to cuddle."
